A naturalist, youth educator, and community engagement professional, Heron is passionate about preserving natural areas and bringing people together for learning, connection, and change. Throughout their career, they have worked with a variety of non-profits, libraries, and schools in Southeastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities. Heron is particularly invested in increasing widespread access to green spaces and outdoor skill-building, especially for queer youth. They are currently pursuing an M.A.Ed. in Natural Science and Environmental Education at Hamline University, and they earned a B.A. in Theatre from Gustavus Adolphus College.
