Join us for a fun day with Mountains and Waters Alliance! We’ll dive into the benefits of biochar, pull some invasive plants, and keep the biochar burn going. Sign up for a shift or stick around for the entire day. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll meet on Sunday, May 4—same time and place.
Parking will be on the big lawn area to the left. If anyone has mobility issues, just let us know beforehand so we can help with parking and any other needs.
We’ll have soup, sandwiches, and some tasty brownies or banana bread for lunch. Just a heads up: wear sturdy outdoor clothes and shoes—no sandals, please!

The Volunteer Corps program is all about getting hands-on and making a difference in our watershed. As a Volunteer Corps member, you can jump into a range of fun activities, like restoration and conservation projects or educational events. Each opportunity is a bit different, giving you the chance to learn new things and grow while helping out in the community. If you care about keeping our water clean and like working with people from different backgrounds in our watershed, joining the Volunteer Corps could be just the thing for you!
